I Found It - Axel's Christmas!

I FOUND IT I FOUND IT!

My parents, Mom really, had this wacky old vinyl of Axel's Night Before Christmas. Now, Axel was a silly Scandoohovian character played by Clellan Card from the early radio and TV years, the old WCCO stuff.

Well, I found out my mom sadly sold that album, and thus I have been on a quest to find them. I still am looking for the actual vinyl pressing, but this day any digital version is fine by me. Well, last year I found the script to Axel's Night Before Christmas. I donning my memory cap created my own version of the radio play, including silly sound effects and voices. I then uploaded it to youtube.

Well, today, as I was surfing the web, I found that somebody has actually posted the 1938 Axel's Night Before Christmas on Youtube! It's wonderful to hear that silly show again!

So, here it is, my early pre-season gift to you.

Clellan Card as Axel, performing Axel's Night Before Christmas.

Well, what do you think, pretty great huh!

Now, for comparisons sake, here is my version. Please consider that I had the script, but I hadn't heard the true version in 20 plus years.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Now this year is special to me! The Man in Red, the Captain Kidd of the SeaFair Pirates for 2012 is a friend of mine, Lance, often know by his pirate name, Clapeye.

So, not only did we get a picture with a pirate but with a CAPTAIN no less!

A Two Way Thank You!

So you may have seen my post about my Dollar Shave Club experience .

Well, the good folks at the DSC thought what I did was pretty cool, so they sent me a couple of neat things. They sent my wife the the 4x blade (the lovers blade) and she really likes it for her legs!

They then sent me a wicked comfortable tee shirt. Here's what I did with that.

My Dollar Shave Club Experience

Hi!

Note: This post is a rather flagrant positive review of a product. I am not endorsed by this company in any way. I just really dig them.

As many of you know, I have facial hair. It's True! Now the real secret is is that I spend more time shaving and futzing around with my face then I would if I didn't have distinctive facial hair. So I consider the various aspects of shaving more than the average bloke. I am a disposable stick razor kind of guy, and that means shelling out loads of money to he big company. Then one day something changed that. I saw a tweet about Dollar Shave Club.

So I watched the video. If you haven't you should -

So, after watching the video, I ordered. Now this is the only moment that so far has caused me any issue. Since they went viral, they got backlogged, so it took some time to get me my kit. Anyways it arrived. In this video I open the box.

And now in this last video, I actually use the razor "live" on camera.

So the verdict. Amazing! The twin blade model (the cheapest one) performs as well (maybe better) than my name brand expensive model with 4 blades.
Since it only cost me a dollar (plus shipping of course, so like $3 a month) It is a huge cost savings, and it is automatic and mailed to me. I will never run out of razors again. Freaking sweet.

So my advice. Get your own. Like today.

Go here are order: Dollar Shave Club

Gather for a Cause! March 8th Pies and Pints for the Beard and Stache Fest

Hello Good People!

I want to invite you all for a facial folical frolicking good time on Thursday March 8th and Pies and Pints in Seattle!

Pies and Pints is located at 1215 NE 65th St Seattle, WA, 98105, on Thursday March 8th at 8:00pm and is hosting an event that night.
Music, drink specials (something called the "Mustache Ride"), prizes and gifts, and of course the biggest reason of all:
Cans to put money in for the KIDS!

I will be there to convince as many people as I can do donate money for the Beard and Stache Fest, but these are complete strangers. It will make my job harder.

Won't you please please me make things easier, so I can relax a bit? It's easy all you do is show up, have fun, put money into (my) a can and maybe convince a few friends, old or new, to also do it?

Pies and Pints will have special gifts for people who donate over $25!

Please don't keep this to your self, share this out with anybody and everybody! I really mean that, SHOUT THIS ON THE MOUNTAIN TOPS LET THIS CITY RING!

I look forward to seeing you and your money on the 8th!

Yours truly,

Kilted Eric

Beard And Stache Fest Announcement!

Hello Friends and Family,

I am writing to let you know that I am competing in a charity contest based around my facial hair. It is called the Beard and Stache Fest. The event support a group known as the Treehouse Foundation, which supports the needs of foster children.

The competition is simple, there is a can with my face on it at a tavern called Pies and Pints. People put money into the can. Or people go to the Beard and Stache website and click my face (Kilted Eric about the 13th row down) and donate for there.

All of the money goes to the Treehouse Foundation. But I could get fame and glory with my facial hair! This is my third year or the 4 years the event has been going, and I have not won ever. I would like to change that this year.

Please help, any amount will help me and the kids!

But, you know me and you know that this email, although informative, is not my style. So do me one huge favor, watch this video I produced that explains the event much much better.

After you watch the video, I hope you’ll be inspired to donate to the Beard and Stache Fest.

If you have any questions, please contact me via email - kiltederic@gmail.com or phone - 206-679-1325.

Thank you and good night.

Yours truly,

Kilted Eric Musehl
